Of all the evergreens, conifers offer the widest variation in size, shape, color and texture. They can provide a backdrop for the bright spring, summer, and fall colors and winter snowfall.
The importance of evergreens in the landscape becomes obvious when deciduous plants go doormat in winter. Evergreens become the visual focal points and provide critical wildlife shelter.
